Ossining Waterfront Covid Wedding – Carol and Clifford:

August 22, 2020

We shoot many weddings, but this was one for the ages. And we don’t mean the couple’s literal ages. Fifty years after Carol’s freshman enrollment at NJ’s Ramapo College and nine years after Clifford’s Professor retirement there, they graduated to husband and wife on the banks of the Hudson in Ossining’s Engel Waterfront park. The decades in between saw long marriages, widowhood, advanced degrees and illustrious careers. But last year, it was an ordinary college anniversary alumni survey that united them, with program committee member Cliff, now 79, stunned at her responses’ and accomplishments. He called Carol, now 78, invited her to visit the campus with him and meet the anniversary program committee, and the result found us a year later celebrating their marriage, as did The Patch; CBS, TV’s “Talk of the Table,” where Gayle King enthused that their story gave her hope; and The NY Times, which gave a guitar-strumming Tim a photographic cameo!

Substance and Style at Westchester Women’s Bar

July 1, 2019

Judge Miller is known for her flashy fashion style. She is also well known for her extraordinary career in the legal profession where she established many firsts.

It was 1953 when Judge Miller entered Harvard Law School in the first class of women. She went on to be the first Democrat to win a contested election to the NY State Supreme Court in 100 years. In 1986 she was the first woman to be appointed as Associate Justice, Appellate Division, Second Department by then Governor Mario Cuomo. Judge Miller presided over what historically became known as the pink bench! For 23 years she worked to deliver justice for families and children. Her most significant accomplishment was her work on the 2010 no fault divorce bill. She continues to be a role model for numerous women lawyers and every member of the judiciary.

It was a thrill to pose Judge Miller in front of her 1961 Rambler American convertible at the Westchester Women’s Bar Association Annual Dinner where she was their honoree!

Blue Hill at Stone Barns Proposal / Fooling Francesca

October 1, 2018

How dreamy is a marriage proposal on an Italian seaside hill? That’s what Francesca expected on her upcoming trip to the Cinque Terre, but her fiancé had another hill in mind: Pocantico’s Blue Hill at Stone Barns. Watching her great surprise, we’re sure the day was just as dreamy. There was romance: an intimate dinner in the private dining room. There was weather: rain had just cleared. And there was that gorgeous new ring! The couple, who met dancing in a Bowery bar, will finally waltz off to Italy, where the ring will sparkle on that seaside hill.

Harvest on Hudson Wedding

August 18, 2018

Candice and Tom – Clear skies ahead –

We hear online dating can be shady, but it proved sunny for Candice and Tom. Blue skies gleamed at their June wedding in Hastings’ Harvest-on-Hudson’s garden, the bride glowing in satin and lace. Ok, there were rain clouds threatening Tom’s mountaintop proposal at the Hudson Valley’s Breakneck Ridge, but even they held off in time for Candice to say yes. Surrounded by family and friends amidst Harvest’s blooms, we forecast continued marital sunshine!

Blue Hill at Stone Barns Proposal

Melissa and Matt

A man walked into a bar…

Westchester’s refined Blue Hill at Stone Barns is about as far as you can get from a bar at the Jersey Shore; but Melissa and Matt made the journey! That bar is where they met six years ago, and Stone Barns is where he proposed in May. We conjured a plan with Matt for the staff to magically appear from the root cellar with a champagne toast, and the magic continued with dinner at Blue Hill.  Good thing he waited outside for her to walk out of that Jersey bar–soon he’ll wait as she walks down the aisle.

Wedding Album

April 5, 2018

When your wedding celebration ends (sob!), it doesn’t haves to fade–that’s what photo albums are for! And yours can be as uniquely personal, and beautiful, as your wedding itself. Choose page colors, borders and backgrounds, design montages, vary photo sizes and angles, write caption text, and pick cover styles and typography for a visual keepsake you’ll cherish “until death do you part.” Of course we can also provide an electronic image file, but–as we all know too well–storing files can be risky. Computers crash, files get deleted, disks become damaged or obsolete. A photo album is forever. Imagine, one day your children will hold it in their hands and thrill to it as much as you have. No jpeg file can match that!

Romantic Photo Session, Rockefeller Preserve

Trinidad & David – Coffee stirs things up

When David first posed the question “coffee, tea or me?” on a coffee line, Trinidad chose coffee. When he tried again two weeks later, she succumbed. On their first date, a stroll at Westchester’s Kensico Dam, they bonded over more than lattes. That coffee line was at Morgan Stanley, where they both worked, and soon their merger begot a new acquisition: romance! It took 10 years, but this summer, the contract becomes final. At their July wedding, we’re sure they’ll switch out coffee for champagne.
