Amanda & Aaron – They’ll Take Manhattan

June 28, 2017

Forget Paris – for Amanda and Aaron, New York is the City of Love. Their romance spans all Manhattan: first date at the Boat Basin restaurant on the Upper West Side, marriage at City Hall downtown, and reception at Palma’s garden in Greenwich Village. In homage to another New York romance, their wedding day limo was a Harry Met Sally Checker Cab. Naturally we had to include the Brooklyn Bridge, the perfect backdrop for their photo shoot. What more could a girl from small-town Indiana and a guy from midland England want? Maybe a honeymoon in Bali, but we bet they won’t be gone for long. Ana & Sam – Speaking the Language of Love in New York City

June 28, 2017

If you wanted an image for springtime romance in the city, this wedding would be it. The setting: the elegant landscape of Manhattan’s Gramercy Park. The couple: the stunning blonde Ana and her handsome leading man, Sam. Add a sashed satin gown, elegant French-twist updo, white roses and black tux and our cameras almost shot by themselves! We wished they could have, since we almost wept along with Sam when reading Ana’s pre-wedding letter, and with Ana during her vows. No matter that Paraguayan-born Ana took her vows in Spanish… words were almost beside the point. Take a look at a select group of photos from Ana & Sam’s big day.

Grand Central Romance – Margaret and Zack

February 4, 2017

Galloping toward the finish

It’s no more horsing around for Margaret and Zack, who plan to wed this July in New Jersey. First meeting at the 2009 Kentucky Derby while students in Louisville, their romance became a race as well, flitting through several states between grad school and careers. Things slowed to a trot in 2015, when Margaret joined Zack in Atlanta, and they announced their engagement during last year’s Derby festivities. Seeing their joy during our shoot at NYC’s Grand Central, we’ll place our bets on their happily ever after.

Photography 101

September 28, 2016

I am so delighted that, 40 years later, I can still see my first photography professor, Marcia Resnick, at her opening at Deborah Bell Gallery.  Marcia sparked my love for creating images and encouraged me to continue my studies and practice beyond the undergraduate level. I never looked back. Photos © Tim Grajek

Cassidy & Jared – Crushes to Candles – Engagement Photographs

It started with Cassidy’s college crush, and ended with Jared’s candlelight proposal. In between were 12 years, seven states, and one pact that said if they weren’t married by the time she turned 30, they’d wed. Well, she’s 30, and thanks to his Facebook contact, they’ll be wedded in June at Larchmont Temple. They should pop some seltzer along with champagne, since Jared’s request that she run out for seltzer was his ruse for setting their apartment aglow with candles and a diamond ring. Now that’s the kind of errand we’d all like more of!

Kristina and Chris’s Engagement Party

May 4, 2015

Surrounded by water, love flows – Engagement Party

Water may bring life, but in Kristina and Chris’ case, it also brings love. They met in the Hamptons, Chris proposed on a dock there, they had their engagement party at Manhattan’s Water Club and the bridal shower at Rye’s American Yacht Club. “It was pretty much love at first sight,” says Kristina, and 3 1/2 years later, they will wed, where else!? In view of the sea, on Bermuda. We photographed Kristina’s sister’s engagement party a few years ago, also at the Yacht Club, and are thrilled to catch this next wave!
