Spring Lake, New Jersey Wedding

September 16, 2017

Margaret & Zack – A nonstop celebration

Margaret and Zack met at the 2009 Kentucky Derby, and their New Jersey wedding had a lot of racing around. Let’s see– vows at church, photos at Spring Lake’s landmark footbridge, more photos at the bride’s house beneath a sentimental tree, an ice cream stop at Strollo’s, the beach, the reception at the oceanfront Breakers Hotel with endless dancing and a fraternity brothers’ goblet gulp. We only stood still once, amazed to view our very first hatchet toss at the house stop! A lot more fun than a bouquet toss, for sure.

Amanda & Aaron – They’ll Take Manhattan

June 28, 2017

Forget Paris – for Amanda and Aaron, New York is the City of Love. Their romance spans all Manhattan: first date at the Boat Basin restaurant on the Upper West Side, marriage at City Hall downtown, and reception at Palma’s garden in Greenwich Village. In homage to another New York romance, their wedding day limo was a Harry Met Sally Checker Cab. Naturally we had to include the Brooklyn Bridge, the perfect backdrop for their photo shoot. What more could a girl from small-town Indiana and a guy from midland England want? Maybe a honeymoon in Bali, but we bet they won’t be gone for long. Ana & Sam – Speaking the Language of Love in New York City

June 28, 2017

If you wanted an image for springtime romance in the city, this wedding would be it. The setting: the elegant landscape of Manhattan’s Gramercy Park. The couple: the stunning blonde Ana and her handsome leading man, Sam. Add a sashed satin gown, elegant French-twist updo, white roses and black tux and our cameras almost shot by themselves! We wished they could have, since we almost wept along with Sam when reading Ana’s pre-wedding letter, and with Ana during her vows. No matter that Paraguayan-born Ana took her vows in Spanish… words were almost beside the point. Take a look at a select group of photos from Ana & Sam’s big day.

Grand Central Romance – Margaret and Zack

February 4, 2017

Galloping toward the finish

It’s no more horsing around for Margaret and Zack, who plan to wed this July in New Jersey. First meeting at the 2009 Kentucky Derby while students in Louisville, their romance became a race as well, flitting through several states between grad school and careers. Things slowed to a trot in 2015, when Margaret joined Zack in Atlanta, and they announced their engagement during last year’s Derby festivities. Seeing their joy during our shoot at NYC’s Grand Central, we’ll place our bets on their happily ever after.
